*I would just like to note that my voice reached the highest pitch I've ever made when I took this photo with the light leak. If you've shot with me: YOU KNOW.*

Spend two minutes with Ethan and you'll immediately see what a kind heart & generous spirit he has! Over the past year and a half, Ethan's been behind the cook line at my waitressing-on-the-weekend job & he is one of the best we have. He's detailed (his onion rings are perfection), thoughtful ("HOW WAS THE STEAK FOR THEM?", and caring ("Do you want the leftover bacon?") in everything he does. Whether it's fueling my chicken nugget obsession, swapping customer stories over the cook line, or taking the time to ask how everybody is, Ethan has been such a joy to work with!

So when Ethan asked me to take his senior portraits, I was so stoked! He absolutely ROCKED his session with ease and is so natural in front of the camera. Happy scrolling!!!

The witty humor that could only rival Lorelai Gilmore's. The makeup guru and fashion sense that I'd trust over Pinterest any day. The sweetest smile and one of the hardest workers I know.

Katie and I met at the waitressing job we shared on the weekends two years ago. From the first moment I met her, she was sarcastically hilarious with every single person she met. I distinctly remember admiring her quick comebacks and thinking "We are totally going to get along!"

Two years later, we've built our friendship over scrubbing counters, cleaning sticky coffee mugs, and swapping stories about grumpy and kind customers alike. Kaitlyn, or Katielynn as I affectionately refer to her, has been taking camera lessons with me for a year and her progress has been incredible!

Not only does Katielynn have an incredibly artistic and detailed eye, she's growing into her shooting and editing style like a champ. I'm so proud of her and all her work and the woman she's becoming!

Katielynn!

What a joy to be your friend, but to see the woman you're becoming. You have the best sense of humor and a beauty that shines out from your kind heart. Keep going, keep reaching for your goals. Forever cheering you on!

Mei Lin

Flashback to the fall of 2018, and a very excited Mei Lin was starting college for the first time. As she walks into her anatomy class, she decided to sit in the front row next to two other girls. She introduced herself and one of them, Megan, told her that her friend was in the class too! As the classroom started to fill, a girl with beautiful red hair and a huge smile came and sat next to Mei Lin and her friend Megan-and that was Rebecca! We quickly connected over our faith & our overwhelming desire to simply survive that class. (With all respect, Dr. Forbes, that class was HAAARRRDDDD.)

Now to be done with the third-person...Rebecca was one of the first friends I made at college and two years later, I'm so lucky to still call her my friend!

She was and is on fire for Christ, has the biggest heart to help those who can't help themselves, and is passionate about actively blessing other people in everything she does.

So when Rebecca got in touch with me asking to do photos of her precious mini horses (that she's trained to be therapy horses!) I immediately said yes! The farm where she boards them has the most darling goats, cows, and chickens roaming freely around the place and added the sweetest charm to the shoot.

Rebecca,

It was such a joy to take your photos! The Lord shines so clearly in all that you do. I'm so proud of you as you step forward in faith to follow Him and His calling on your life! <3

Hugs,

Mei Lin
